Position Summary

Supervises the day to day operations of the assembly test and repair department. Collaborates with operations, quality, materials and engineering teams to execute the testing of navy and commercial pumps. Responsible for the oversight of the test setup areas and associated equipment including driving safety, 5S, and TPM. Interfaces constantly with Engineering to resolve technical test issues. Position relies heavily on an engineering background to ensure that specifications are adhered to and that products meet our contractual quality standards. Ensure timely execution of the repairs process.

Principal Activities

  • Directs the setup of test loops for various navy and commercial pumps while ensuring safety of the associates, the test equipment, and the product.
  • Prepares and organizes work to be accomplished by studying work orders, engineering blueprints, specifications, instructions, diagrams, and wire lists.
  • Organize capacity planning and visual controls to support the needs to meeting customer demand while levelling flow.
  • Provides leadership and technical direction in the completion of assigned work items
  • Partners actively with Engineering to develop test procedures and troubleshoot testing results.
  • Oversees the repairs process for pumps including costing, scheduling, and execution
  • Validates inspection results of equipment through the use of detailed drawings.
  • Reports any abnormalities or deviations from specifications to management.
  • Reviews technical information and documentation in all necessary capacities.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing provided procedures, rules, and regulations.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 5- 7 years of experience in manufacturing. 2 – 3 years operations supervisory experience in repair of similar manufacturing department preferred
