Job Description

PURPOSE:

This Project Engineer (PE) who will support Engineering Procurement Company (EPC) and End User projects primary focus on Oil Mist Products. The role envisions an engineer with strong project and customer interaction skills which will allow PE to draft, present and defend technical aspect of the projects with customers externally and upper management internally.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Develop mechanical/industrial design solutions based on engineering principles and be involved in presentation of the solution to customer.

Provide technical support to external and internal customers.

Resolve operational problems related to projects and minimize delays or unexpected cost increases.

Responsible for project success whether project leader or as part of a project team.

Ensure all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed for all work completed.

Interpret client requirements, identify and address design parameters and engineering problems and ensure solutions are implemented accurately and in budget.

Engineering:

Analyze project requirements and perform technical calculations supporting design including AutoCAD 2D/3D

Create and finalize designs to meet project requirements.

Define equipment and parts from external suppliers.

Project Management:

Oversee project workflow and support internal and external resources to ensure timely delivery of projects, expected quality, and allotted budget.

Create customer documentation.

Projects Execution:

Maintain accurate records and files according to quality standard.

Commission customized products and systems onsite.

Servicing:

Modifies designs/systems upon customer’s request and documents the amendments accordingly.

Performs other duties of a similar nature

Job Requirements

  • Language Capabilities
    • Fluency in English and Spanish (required)
    •  
  • Education Requirements
    • BS degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Civil Engineering, or similar degree (required)
    •  
  • Technical Requirements
    • Must have AutoCAD 2D/3D verifiable experience, all project drawings are worked in AutoCAD (required)
    • Proficiency in MS Office/Word/Excel, as this position will must create, update/modify existing MS Office documentation (required)
    • Knowledge of electrical drafting, electrical instrumentation, as this position must read and understand electrical diagrams, and evaluate/select electrical instrumentation to be used/package as part of the equipment (required)
    • 3D CAD knowledge (Solid Edge preferred) (desired)

 

Experience Requirements

    • Minimum experience 3-5 years in engineering environment (drafting and documentation management) supporting EPC projects for the Oil and Gas industry
    • Experience PEMEX/CFE and their directives (desired)
    • Technical writing experience. This position will be reviewing, updating, and writing Engineering Manual, Product Instruction Manuals, test requirements, and other documentations (required)
