FUNCTIONAL REPORTING:   Global Operations Team



Position Summary

The Principal Financial Analyst will be a key position on the Corporate Finance team.  This role will report to the Director of Finance supporting Global Manufacturing Operations in Burlington, MA.  The individual will work cross-functionally with many corporate and business unit colleagues to support working capital initiatives, manufacturing business cases, and operational performance metrics.  The role requires an analytical and detail oriented person who can communicate effectively in a complex and fast-paced environment.


Principal Activities

  • Support monthly close, forecast, and budget needs related to global working capital, manufacturing projects, and cost of goods sold.
  • Provide robust financial business case modeling and analysis for strategic production and sourcing decisions.
  • Support gross margin analysis related to manufacturing variances, absorption, and inventory costing across sites.
  • Deliver accurate analysis and reporting of global operational metrics on monthly basis to support financial reporting needs.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance of key projects.
  • Develop strong relationships with our business segments to help drive financial results.
  • Contribute to ongoing systems and process improvements related to periodic reporting, accounting policies, and financial models.
  • Participate in cross-functional business projects and perform ad hoc analyses as needed.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Finance, Accounting, or Taxation required.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or CFA highly desirable.
  • Advanced Excel skills:  financial modeling, data management, and data consolidation preferred.
  • Strong accounting knowledge base:  working capital management, intercompany transactions, and manufacturing support.
  • 4-6 years of experience in audit, consulting, or corporate finance/accounting required.
