POSITION DETAILS

Position Summary

CIRCOR Reliability Services is looking for an Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager to support North America (USA & Canada) operations. The successful candidate will manage all safety and environmental needs in a multi-location organization, working with mobile and embedded work teams. Focus areas will include chemical storage, management of marine and industrial items, OSHA/EPA compliance and training, behavior based safety program, incident & claim management in addition to the development and maintenance of safe-work practices, management of customer safety websites, internal and external safety audits, and establishing customer relationships. The EH&S Safety Manager will be responsible to identify opportunities to grow the EH&S role and incorporate EH&S aspects into all areas of the business.

Principal Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Safety and Environmental Leader:
•  Perform due diligence audits for facilities and operations to ensure regulatory compliance with environmental agencies (federal, state, and local).
•  Manage monthly and annual facility compliance programs.
•  Serve as the chair of the business’s Safety Leadership Group.
•  Lead collaborative efforts to develop and implement environmental, health and safety procedures and programs to improve health and safety culture, reduce injuries and liability, and ensure regulatory compliance at all levels of business, including locally and remote locations.
•  Take a leadership role in providing input, ideas and knowledge in further developing the safety program of the overall company and promote a safe work environment by providing safety leadership and encourage participation and ownership of safety at all job levels.
•  Provide guidance on various environmental-related requirements, including hazardous waste management, chemical management and chemical handling.
•  Represent the company in community and/or industry safety groups and programs.

Training and Development:
•  Conduct reviews of and update internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
•  Create/update training presentations for internal training requirements.
•  Develop and grow company EHS culture through leadership training and guidance.
•  Schedule and facilitate health and safety training.
•  Responsible to maintain and update Health & Safety Manual.

Field Services Support:
•  Provide ongoing day-to-day health and safety support and guidance to service personnel to maintain compliance with company and customer policy and state and federal regulations.
•  Conduct or coordinate jobsite safety inspections. Inspect work sites to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards that require correction.
•  Management of incident reporting and investigation process. Identify corrective or preventive measures where necessary, and follow up to ensure necessary measures have been implemented.
•  Management of worker’s compensation claims.
•  Maintain accurate records of TRIR for reporting and providing support for continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and training programs to reduce risk and prevent incidents and injuries.
•  Establish structured reporting and robust accountability programs.
•  Maintain regulatory compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations for all locations within North America.

Job Requirements

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledgeable on training program development and experienced in working with mobile and
    embedded work teams.
    •  Highly trained and seasoned on claims management and return to work activities.
    •  Experienced with the development of training classes and presentations in large groups.
    •  Organized and capable of managing EHS requirements and compliance for multiple locations with
    varying regulatory requirements. Experienced in environmental consulting and due diligence
    preferred, but not required.
    •  OSHSA 10/30-hr (construction & GI) Certified Trainer, Maritime Trainer preferred but not required.
    •  Experienced in prequalification platforms (ISN, Avetta, Browz, etc.)
    •  Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
    •  Excellent driving record required.

 Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, EHS or business related field with advanced academic and professional training preferred.
