Position Summary

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing and maintaining customer satisfaction by establishing a professional and positive relationship with assigned customers throughout the order cycle of quote, order entry, products and services, and warranty support.  This position is responsible for overall customer satisfaction of assigned distributors, customers, and/or end users.   The Customer Service Representative reports to the Commercial Operations Manager.

 Principal Activities

  • Completes upfront order processing and document control.
  • Coordinates priorities with supervisor, manufacturing staff, and customers to ensure that products are shipped on time and to the customers' satisfaction.
  • Receives, reviews for accuracy, and processes sales orders for input into operating system.
  • Receives and processes requests for sales order modifications.
  • Coordinates maintenance of customer data (e.g. address or personnel changes, etc.)
  • Communicates regularly with customers to ensure a high satisfaction level is maintained.
  • Provides information and updates on promotions and sales opportunities.
  • Maintains data on sales activity, backorders, service levels, etc.
  • Investigates and provides responses for pricing, order status, and material availability inquiries.
  • Interfaces with production planning and shipping to expedite orders as required.
  • Ensures orders are processed in accordance with distributor's request.
  • Interfaces with various CIRCOR Instrumentation & Sampling support departments as required to support distributor requests.
  • Respond promptly to customer visit requests, calls, emails
  • Ensure sales order information is clearly and accurately conveyed
  • Research inquiries to obtain accurate and effectively documented answers and solutions acceptable to the Customer and CIRCOR.
  • Open communication with team members to share information, knowledge, and expertise
  • Follow established guidelines for participant issue resolution
  • Demonstrate personal ownership for tasks and follow through
  • Foster respect, trust and cooperation with all contacts within and outside of CIRCOR.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements


Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Must have JDE experience, proactive customer service approach, good inside sales and business development skills with ability to multi-task creatively resolving issues. 
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize, balance, and manage multiple efforts
  • Solid analytical skills and solution-driven thinking
  • Must have excellent attention to detail
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively across mediums, audiences, and situations
  • Must have at least 5 years prior experience in customer service
  • Knowledge of and experience working with customer and industry-specific requirements/standards
  • Thorough knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Project, and other applicable tools

  Education & Experience

  • High School diploma required. Some college is preferred, but not required
