POSITION DETAILS

Position Summary

Lead the continued development, promotion and strategically aligned implementation of our CBS (CIRCOR Business System). CBS is designed to drive world-class results in customer satisfaction, quality, on-time delivery, customer-value, organic growth, and ultimately operating financial performance. In conjunction with local operations and functional leadership, you will provide the tactical implementation and support for the development and advancement of the business system across the Warren, MA facility. This position is a great stepping stone to further development in progressively larger leadership roles for candidates that are looking to grow their career. As this position will touch many parts of the business it gives the candidate a well-rounded experience for almost any development path.

Principal Activities

  • Drive all of Operations KPIs to World Class level and reduce overall lead time
  • Drive the lean road map and ensuring the site is implementing the appropriate lean tools, e.g. 5S, VSM, standard work, pull systems, SMED, variance reduction, etc. to maximize productivity and throughput while minimizing lead time and WIP.

Identify and implement best in class lean processes

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Hi-mix, custom-engineered, long-cycle processes
  • Excellent technical skills (mechanical / machining / CNC)
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Capable of executing lean in engineering environments (order flow, technical specs, estimating, configuration)
  • Must be US citizen to meet US Defense requirements
  • Ability to effectively manage lean or Kaizen events and supporting resources
  • Ability to influence leadership across functions, and at many levels from shop floor to conference room.
  • Transparent, results oriented, and accountable with strong customer focus
  • Must be passionate about results gained the right way, through the development of people and processes
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced and rapidly changing, transforming environment.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering
  • 3 years progressive and proven experience in lean manufacturing environments, with 3 years of direct leadership of people and ownership of results
