POSITION DETAILS

Position Summary

The primary focus of this role is to support Product Line managers, Sales managers, Market managers & Finance teams in carrying out the company’s Strategic and Profit plans with data analytics, report preparation and master data management. 

 Principal Activities

  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver those requirements with accuracy and in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs and reports for product line managers, sales managers, market managers and top management.
  • Analyze information resources regarding market trends, customer needs, historical data and internal margin/revenue targets to provide actionable recommendations on pricing, costing product and market strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Provide ongoing support to various functions with the systematic use of both historical and predictive data.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance current processes through effective use of advanced analytics
  • Maintain tools, reporting & scorecards to track key metrics and value captured.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to address business or systems issues

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to manage a large amount of transactional data and determine trends up to part number level with win-loss analysis using statistical and analytical tools.
  • Manage multiple priorities; both as an independent problem solver and as a team player
  • Show a strong ability to solve problems creatively, thru innovation & process re-engineering
  • Good organizational and time management skills, strong analytical skills and the inter-personal skills to interact with all levels of management.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.
  • Have outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Anticipate change and quickly prioritize accordingly
  • Be able to make decisions under uncertainty
  • Be friendly, empathetic, and professional even under stressful circumstances and tight timelines
  • Technical proficiency in MS – Office suite with advanced MS-Excel skills.

 Education & Experience

  • 2+ years in an analytical reporting role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Graduate in Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Commerce, Economics or Engineering. MBA degree (Marketing or Finance) preferred.
  • Prior experience with an ERP system and related business processes, preferable IFS and/or SAP.
  • Prior experience with a Business Intelligence tool, MicroStrategy or PowerBI preferred.
