Position Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for a wide variety of reporting, planning and forecasting responsibilities on a company wide basis. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, this role will focus on supporting the planning and forecasting process and providing value-added analysis and recommendations to support business growth.

 Principal Activities

  • Responsible for assisting with the worldwide financial planning and forecasting process for the entire enterprise
  • Responsible for consolidating financial results and metrics in support of monthly and quarterly close processes, including:
    • Assurance of data integrity, accuracy and consistency
    • Data analysis and interpretation of financial results
    • Preparation of standardized reports and insightful analysis for FP&A Management and other key stakeholders
  • Provide support to strategic corporate initiatives and projects: presentations, complex scenarios analyses, financial modeling, etc.
  • Run, enhance and monitor financial reporting in Business Planning and Consolidation Platform (SAP BPC)
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities based on understanding of key performance metrics and trends in the business
  • Provide analysis on financial performance and variances for use by the Company for investor and Board of Directors presentations
  • Make recommendations to management based on in-depth knowledge of the analytics and financial acumen
  • Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive greater efficiencies
  • Analyze and interpret financial impact of alternative decisions on the profitability of product lines and businesses
  • Identify spend patterns versus historical norms, forecasted plans, and competitive benchmarks
  • Participate in cross-functional business projects and perform ad hoc analyses as needed.

Education & Experience

  • Typically requires a minimum level of knowledge that is acquired through a four-year college degree in an applicable field and three years related experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Large, multinational corporate experience in the area of manufacturing a plus
  • Demonstrated competency in use of financial, planning and reporting software platforms (BPC & Hyperion a plus)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Significant experience with developing financial models to support key strategic initiatives
  • Experience in presenting and communicating with key business owners
