Manager, Regional Sales

BUSINESS:   Industrial Valves EMEA

LOCATION:   Houston

DIRECT REPORTING: Patrick Christmann



Regional Sales Manager Circor Industrial Valves


Position Objective

  • Focus on growing Circor Industrial Valves EMEA in the assigned territory, Markets and Industries.
  • Maintains and expands customer base by counseling district sales representatives; building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities.
  • Manage and Develop the channel partner network within assigned geographic area
  • Increase partner effectiveness by developing relationships, supporting their needs, and holding them accountable
  • Provide technical product training to channel partners and select channel partner’s customers
  • Accomplishes sales and organization mission by completing related results as needed.



  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned territory / Industry
  • Conduct regular business reviews at assigned accounts focusing on 3-5-year growth plans. Documented in an Annual Business Plan.
  • Leads solution development efforts that best address end-user needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company and Customer / Partner personnel
  • Assist in the development of sales opportunities and maintain high-level relationships with a customers and prospects.
  • Achieve sales goals by Converting direct or indirect prospects and Retaining and Penetrating current accounts
  • Finalizes negotiation with customers and secures purchase order.
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personal, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet partner performance objectives and partners expectations
  • Sells through direct and indirect channel.
  • Manages potential channel conflict with other firm sales channels by fostering excellent communication internally and externally and through strict adherence to channel rules of engagement
  • Drives adoption of company programs among assigned partners
  • Act as VOC conduit between the field and support functions
  • Define and communicate the strategy for the region and ensure alignment with high level business objectives



Job Requirements


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Specific sales experience in selling flow control products to EPC’s, End Users or Channel Partners
  • Sales professional in direct and indirect sales of industrial products.
  • Proven performer - extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Communication skills that include verbal and presentation are key for this position.
  • Experienced working in a Matrix environment as a team to achieve success in complex projects is a large factor in the person, both externally and internally.
  • Flexibility in roles and duties and willingness to take on new tasks and be able to successfully interact with multiple groups within the company.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Conducts business in a responsible and ethical manner.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer orientation, communication strength and safe appearance
  • Adequate experience with different software tools (MS Office, Web-based software, ProAlpha)


Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Sales Management
  • Minimum 5 years of channel sales experience in a B2B sales environment related to technical products.
  • Skilled in negotiating, influencing, communicating and coordinating with senior management in a large organization
  • Ability to operate in ambiguous environments with limited supervision
  • This position requires extensive travel (50%)
