POSITION DETAILS:

Position Summary

Acquires, establishes and develops relationships with existing and prospect customers, in India & focusing on a specific Product Line- Instrumentation & Fittings. Manages and directs (internal and external) sales force, to achieve sales and profit goals.

 Principal Activities

  • Identification and development of commercial opportunities in India through a direct presence in the area of competence & through major end markets like Oil & Gas, General Industrial, etc
  • Analyses business opportunities, collects requests for quotation and ensures that quotation process is correctly executed, according to customer request.
  • Finalizes negotiation with customers.
  • Management of key accounts towards meeting customer expectations and growing business with key accounts
  • Once order is taken, ensures that contract's requirements are respected and projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Designs and recommends sale programs and sets short and long-term sale strategies.
  • Evaluates and implements appropriate new sales techniques to increase the department's sales volume.
  • May recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer's satisfaction and sales potential.
  • Acts as an advisor to sales team regarding projects, tasks, and operations.

 

 

Job Requirements

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Experience in managing major accounts customers and large contracts or even a business, particularly achieving genuine sales development.
  • Experience with high pressure fittings and instrumentation product line
  • Negotiation skills
  • Understands the principles of marketing, market sector targeting, and product offer development, features-benefits-solutions selling, etc.
  • Experience of managing internal and external sales force
  • Competent writer of business letters, quotations and proposals.
  • Able to work independently and also in close collaboration with global business units where needed
  • Able to understand profit and loss calculations and basic business finance, e.g., gross margin percentages and calculations, depreciation, capital and revenue expenditure, cash-flow, overheads, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of Fittings, Regulators, processes, organization & of sales Tools & Processes

Education & Experience

  • Experience is often gained through work in a specific technical field or professional discipline. Their experience may include "lead" responsibilities or other past supervisory experience. Typically requires a minimum level of knowledge that is acquired through a four-year college degree in an applicable field and five years related experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
